Columbarium & Prayer Garden

Our Prayer Garden

At North Naples United Methodist Church, we are blessed to be a part of most of the celebratory events of our congregation from births and baptisms to weddings and funerals. We are now pleased to provide our members and their immediate family a place of dignity, reverence, and life’s celebration of those we love on these holy grounds.

Made possible by a gift and the generosity of Juanita Powers, a truly devoted servant and wonderful Christian, it is the realization of a long time dream come true for our congregation. On the south side of the chapel is a prayer garden with Jesus and the children at his feet, while on the north side stands the cross, with stained glass from our former church on Seagate Drive. A columbarium is grounded in scripture. Old Testament teachings remind us we are nothing but dust and ashes. “Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust” (Gen. 2:7; 18:27) are traditional words often spoken at committal services.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in the New Testament that the resurrection refers to that which is made new. “So it is with the resurrection of the dead, what is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.”(1 Cor. 15:42) Like churches before us, Christians have cared for their loved ones who have died. With the internment of ashes, your loved ones will be remembered, honored and their resurrection in Jesus Christ will be celebrated.

How will you want to memorialize your loved one?

North Naples United Methodist Church has made available to its members and their family several options that will include perpetual care and preservation into the future.
